As retail and logistics operators brace for another year of uncertainty, a new class of AI-driven vendors is quietly reshaping the industry — not with flashy announcements, but with transformative tech that delivers speed, control, and operational visibility at scale.

From checkout counters to shipment optimization engines and edge AI deployments, the 2025 Top 100 Logistics & Supply Chain Technology Providers list features companies setting a new standard for agility and intelligence. Three standouts — Enveyo, NVIDIA, and Mashgin — are each tackling critical pressure points in the supply chain with fresh thinking and technical muscle.

Enveyo: Giving Logistics Teams Full Control Over Their Data

In a space cluttered with fragmented platforms and hidden dependencies, Enveyo stands out with a radical proposition: give supply chain operators total ownership over their logistics data and decision logic. “What truly sets us apart in today’s crowded tech landscape is our unwavering commitment to a data-first approach,” said Nate Endicott, SVP of Growth at Enveyo, in a written response to The Supply Chainer. “We’ve built a powerful engine that can ingest any volume or format of logistics data — order, shipment, tracking, invoice — and finally break down the silos that plague the industry.”

Unlike platforms that trap clients into vendor-managed changes, Enveyo lets clients define and update their business rules in real time. The company’s philosophy is simple: make agility a default, not a customization. “In today’s rapidly evolving shipping environment, this level of flexibility isn’t just nice to have — it’s essential,” Endicott added.

NVIDIA: Bringing Edge AI to Storefronts and Supply Chains

While Enveyo focuses on logistics execution, NVIDIA is powering the infrastructure behind the next generation of in-store and warehouse AI. From checkout cameras to digital twins of entire retail environments, NVIDIA’s platforms are embedded deep in enterprise supply chain innovation.

In a written response to The Supply Chainer, NVIDIA emphasized its dual role: both as a technology provider and a strategic partner to retailers. “We demonstrate the art of the possible to help retailers visualize solutions that transform their business,” the company said. “Whether for operational efficiencies, improving revenues, or enhancing sustainability.” NVIDIA’s offerings include:

  • NVIDIA AI Enterprise – a full-stack, cloud-native AI platform

  • AI Blueprints and workflow templates – guiding retailers from prototype to production

  • Compact edge computing hardware – powering tasks like theft prevention, dynamic pricing, and real-time shopper assistance

Retail giants like Lowe’s and Kroger are already using NVIDIA’s Omniverse-powered digital twins to optimize store layouts, test checkout configurations, and simulate shopper behavior. Kroger, for example, has deployed full-scale loss prevention AI systems across 2,700 stores and uses Omniverse to reduce queue times and improve labor efficiency.

Mashgin: 10-Second Checkout with 99.9% Accuracy

Checkout friction is a frontline problem in both convenience retail and larger store formats — and Mashgin has turned it into a showcase of real-world AI application. Powered by computer vision, Mashgin’s system identifies items without scanning barcodes. Customers simply place items on a tray, pay, and leave — all in under 10 seconds.

“Mashgin is the world’s fastest checkout system,” the company told The Supply Chainer. “It’s already processed over 350 million transactions and is active in over 3,500 locations — from airports and hospitals to sports stadiums like Madison Square Garden and the Kansas City Chiefs.” The company’s secret lies in its multi-camera, 3D vision system, which recognizes items with 99.9% accuracy and processes them simultaneously. “This creates a quick and efficient transaction experience that both customers and retailers can rely on,” the company added.

Just last week we covered an AI supply chain success story. In our feature on accessories retailer TOPTEN implementing Buffers.ai’s inventory optimization ERP plug-in, the brand’s smart integration helped minimize stock levels while boosting sales — once again underscoring that technology alone isn’t the magic bullet, but rather that strategic use of technology within a ready and responsive organization drives real results.

The AI-First Playbook

Each of these companies represents a core shift in supply chain and retail strategy — from reactive workflows to predictive intelligence, from manual overrides to self-service control. As retailers and logistics teams face mounting pressure on margins and speed, the common thread across Enveyo, NVIDIA, and Mashgin is clear: empowerment through precision AI.

Whether it’s giving operators control over data (Enveyo), simulating and scaling smart operations (NVIDIA), or removing checkout bottlenecks (Mashgin), the future of logistics and retail automation isn’t just coming — it’s already running in production.
