From digital freight boards to PE-backed transformation mandates, the past two weeks saw a diverse slate of senior leadership shifts across supply chain, logistics, and infrastructure. While tech giants continue to reshape the talent map, mid-market firms and investors are making equally strategic bets on seasoned operators.

UBS expands its supply chain software banking team with U.S. senior hire:

Rob Michlovich has joined UBS as Managing Director focused on industrial and supply chain software. With a background in advising high-growth B2B software platforms, Michlovich will support UBS's expanding mandate in digitized logistics and procurement tech, particularly as interest in AI-native supply tools drives sector activity.

Freightos has expanded its board of directors with seasoned leaders from FedEx, Maersk, and Amazon to strengthen Freightos’ digital freight vision: Udo Lange, CEO of Stolt-Nielsen and former FedEx executive, has been appointed Non-Executive Chairman. Lange brings long years of logistics leadership, including roles spanning international, ground, courier, and contract logistics, and service on the White House Supply Chain Disruption Task Force. His appointment signals Freightos’ intent to build credibility with global carriers while scaling its marketplace ambitions.

Rotem Hershko, former Chief Product Officer at Maersk and Director of Product at Amazon Global, joins Freightos as Director. Hershko combines platform, technology, and logistics expertise, having overseen multibillion-dollar P&Ls at Amazon and led a major digital transformation at Maersk. He is currently a Senior Advisor at McKinsey & Company, and his addition suggests Freightos is prioritizing high-caliber digital operations talent as it matures.

Stellex Capital Management hires transformation lead to drive operational efficiency across portfolio companies: Matthew F. Kajfez has joined Stellex Capital as Operating Partner and Supply Chain Transformation Lead.

Kajfez, a seasoned private equity executive, brings deep experience in driving operational turnarounds and supply chain reengineering. His mandate includes performance uplift across Stellex's industrial holdings, signaling a strategic shift toward embedded value creation through logistics and procurement innovation.

Citigroup recruits logistics investment veteran to oversee EMEA transportation strategy:

Arnould Fremy has been named Head of UK and EMEA Transportation at Citigroup.

Formerly at UBS, Fremy will now lead Citi’s investment banking coverage of the European logistics and transport sector, a move that reflects growing institutional focus on infrastructure resilience, freight volatility, and M&A in third-party logistics.

Plum Market appoints new VP to scale regional grocery logistics: Amy Zuckerman, formerly at Kroger and Whole Foods, has joined Plum Market as Vice President of Supply Chain. Zuckerman’s hire comes as the Midwest grocer accelerates its expansion and refines last-mile cold chain operations. Her background in perishables, vendor management, and urban distribution is expected to help the brand compete more aggressively with regional chains and premium delivery platforms.

From private equity to perishables, these new appointments reflect how companies across the supply chain spectrum are redefining leadership needs amid automation, regionalization, and platform convergence. Expect more movement as Q3 hiring cycles peak across logistics and infrastructure.
